Multi-Axis Laser 2D and 3D Laser Cutting Services
At J & N Metal Products, LLC, we provide ISO-compliant, multi-axis laser cutting services in 2D and 3D. Our facilities are equipped with a two-axis, four KW machine with a 5 x 10 foot bed, and a three-axis, one and a half KW machine with a 4 x 4 x 2 foot work envelope. Our CO2 flying optic laser cutting machinery can operate on a wide variety of materials, ranging from aluminum and stainless steel to plastic, rubber and acrylic.
Our laser cutting operations can be applied to architectural ornaments, engraving, tubing and sheet metal fabrication, along with many other applications. Our 2D laser can work with various thicknesses of materials, ranging from mild steel up to one inch, stainless steel up to .500 of an inch, to aluminum up to .375 of an inch. Our six-axis 3D laser can work with various thicknesses of materials, ranging from mild steel up to .500 of an inch, and stainless steel and aluminum up to .190 of an inch. All of our precision laser cutting machines are capable of upholding a (±) .001 of an inch precision tolerance.

Flying Optics Flying optics lasers feature a stationary table and a cutting head (with laser beam) that moves over the work piece in both of the horizontal dimensions. Flying-optics cutters keep the workpiece stationary during processing, and often don't require material clamping. |
Cutting Axis Cutting Axis is the number of axes of motion a cutting machine is capable of cutting. 2-axis machines are used to cut flat sheet material while a 3-axis machine is used to cut three dimensional parts. Some 5-axis and 6-axis machines can perform cutting operations on parts that have been pre-formed by casting or machining. |
