Custom Manufacturing of Aluminum Dash for UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter

With the lives of our servicemen and women at stake on a daily basis throughout the world, we take our work at J&N Metals very seriously indeed when it comes to designing high-flying materials for the world’s best army.

As an example of our capabilities, the Army wanted a new dashboard for their UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters in Afghanistan, and we were happy to be of service. Strategizing a blueprint both through customer-supplied print and 2D CAD Drawing, we proceeded to design a 56” x 16” x 14” dashboard frame. We used nothing but the most rigorous methods of assembly: 2D laser cutting, CNC machining, forming, painting in accordance with MIL-PRF-85285, conversion coating in accordance with MIL-DTL-5541, as well as vigorous riveting and heat treatment assembly. Stylishly unbreakable, the results are striking.
